On March 2, the 7th plenary session of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference for Promoting the Use of Legitimate Software was held in Beijing.

It pointed out that continuing to promote the use of legitimate software was a necessary requirement for studying and carrying out Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era and the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress, implementing the new development concept and deepening supply-side structural reforms, and speeding up the building of an innovation-oriented country. It was of great significance to create an innovation-driven environment, enhancing economic innovative and competitive capabilities, and ensuring national information security.

The Conference reviewed and approved the 2017 work summary of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference for Promoting the Use of Legitimate Software and the 2018 work plan. The relevant people responsible of the member organs of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference on Promotion to Use Legitimate Software, including, Wang Jiangping, Vice Minister of State Administration for Industry and Commerce, Zhou Liang, Vice Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission, Huang Hong, Vice Chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, He Hua, Vice Minister of State Intellectual Property Office, Chen Jianming, Deputy Head of National Government Offices Administration and Zhang Yuhang, Deputy Head of Administration Bureau for Organs Directly under the Authority of the CPC Central Committee attended the meeting, and relevant comrades in charge of Office of the Central Leading Group for Cyberspace Affairs and Office of the National Leading Group on the Fight Against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting were present.
