China Written Works Copyright Society (CWWCS) was established by the Preparatory Group of CWWCS (co-founded by Copyright Protection Center of China and China Writers Association) on October 24, 2008, initiated by 106 right holders of written works.

The responsibilities for rights management of CWWCS are: the rights existed in the written woks in the field of literature, arts, natural science, social science, engineering and technology, etc., they are, the right of reproduction, the right of performance, the right of compilation, the right of broadcasting, the right of communication through information network, the right of remuneration for statutory license.
