On October 19, the Award Ceremony of the WIPO-NCAC Copyright Awards 2018 was held in Suzhou. Yu Cike, Director General of Copyright Department of the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) and Gao Hang, Director of Copyright Development Division of WIPO, awarded the winners.
The WIPO-NCAC Copyright Awards program is the result of the cooperation between the National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China (NCAC) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). This biennial award is the only international award and the highest accolade in the copyright sector in China. Its precursor was the WIPO Creativity Award (China), which was held in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016. Awards have been presented to 75 copyright-related companies, organizations and copyright holders, garnering global attention and receiving active responses.
The WIPO-NCAC Copyright Awards 2018 consists of Creativity Award, Award for Copyright Utilization, Award for Copyright Protection, and Award for Copyright Administration Management, all of which celebrate the achievements of individuals and entities in the four sectors. The awarding list is as follows:
