Recently, the 15th Plenary Session of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference on Promoting the Use of Legitimate Software was convened in Beijing.

It was agreed that, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the 2025 Joint Conference thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, earnestly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and made solid progress in continuously improving the work on promoting the use of legitimate software.

It was emphasized that the conference would focus on key priorities and accelerate the promotion of legitimate software use across industries. This year is crucial for achieving legitimate software use in the education and healthcare sectors, and all localities and departments must accelerate relevant work. The conference should attach importance to inspection work to ensure that measures for legitimate software use are fully implemented and effective, and that inspections for legitimate software use are carried out effectively on a long-term basis. The conference would continue to conduct standardized inspections for legitimate software use and focus on applying inspection results. The conference would emphasize daily management and improve and strengthen the long-term mechanism for legitimate software use, and strive to establish and improve long-term mechanisms for legitimate software use in key industries and sectors, and make efforts in software procurement, daily use, and supervision and inspection.
